Ed Benes (ołówek) – urodzony w 1972 roku, znany i ceniony brazylijski artysta komiksowy pracujący dla wydawnicta DC Comic. Jego rysunki cechuje niezwykła dokładność, szczegółowość oraz skupienie uwagi na detalach. W 1993 roku został odkryty przez Neal Adams, który zaproponował mu pracę nad Samuree dla wydawnictwa Continuity Comics . W 1990 roku Benes rozpoczął pracę dla wydawnictwa Marvel gdzie tworzył 6-częściową miniserię Captain Marvel. Następnym krokiem w jego karierze było wstąpienie w szeregi artystów wydawnictwa DC Comics i praca nad takimi tytułami jak: Gen, Birds of Prey, Supergirl (vol. 3), and Superman (vol. 2).
